FINAL TASK - MUSEUM OF ETHNIC MUSIC & ORGAN AT CARAVACA DE LA CRUZ SANCTUARY

As a final task of this Comenius Project, teachers and students in grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 visited the Museum of Ethnic Music in Barranda and the Sanctuary of Caravaca de la Cruz where there is an organ highly valued in Murcia, created by master organ builder constructor Jose Folch in 1776-1778 and rebuilt in 2003 by the master organ builder Patrick Collon.

We traveled together with the school San Juan de Murcia.

The Museum of Ethnic Music was founded by Carlos Blanco Fadol, a Uruguayan who has traveled the world collecting musical instruments and has even created some of them.
Here we enjoyed a guided tour, where we learned the origin of many instruments from around the world, including our partner countries, of course.
Also we were able to play music, Ode to Joy by Beethoven, with an instrument called bamboo sound which came from Indonesia.

In the Sanctuary of Caravaca, the music teacher Angel explained how the organ functioned and he gave us a small concert. It was great!
